Following the acquisition, David assumed a pivotal role on the operational board of the acquiring organisation, contributing significantly to its meteoric rise from a £90Million market cap to an impressive £1Billion. David’s expertise extends to M&A advisory, where he has acted as a Non-Executive Director on the buy-side and sell-side for numerous business transactions.
Specialising in cyber security, David has been a trusted advisor to a myriad of organisations, both public and private, at the board and ownership levels. His strategic insights have shaped the direction of various enterprises across multiple industry sectors. He has been instrumental in the conceptualisation and market launch of innovative services and products, further solidifying his reputation as a transformative leader.
In addition to his role at Amicis Group, David serves as a board advisor to a prominent global business listed on both the Frankfurt and USA OTC markets. His multi-faceted experience and strategic vision make him an invaluable asset to Amicis Group and its diverse clientele.
Robert Wilson
Managing Director
since become the Managing Director. Amicis is an end to end cyber security managed service and professional service practice. In less than two years Robert has delivered Cyber & IT programmes into Banks, NHS, Police, Legal, Insurance, Construction, Sport, Education and other sectors
Robert has led the implementation of IT systems, technology and processes into the business to allow delivery and growth of key client services with key tasks which also include management of business’ P&L and Finance functions, business growth strategy and IT project management.
Since taking on the role of Managing Director Robert has also successfully launched NorthCap Cyber, Amicis Group’s sister company which specialises in cyber security in the financial sector and Private Equity value creation in Portfolio companies. As well as his role in Amicis Group, Robert has been overseeing and managing aspects of the NorthCap Cyber’s business from Sales, Finance and Operations to enable business growth, revenue generation and helping support the wider team.
Peter Moorhead
Chief Technology Officer
Before joining Amicis Group, Peter held key positions at Hewlett-Packard, Capita, and Telefonica Tech. Most recently at Telefonica Tech, he served as the CTO of Cyber, where he managed the entire cyber security product portfolio.
Peter played a crucial role in bringing to market several pivotal platforms, including Managed Detection and Response (MDR), Cloud Security, Identity Management, and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions. His strategic leadership in these roles has been instrumental in delivering robust cyber security frameworks and enhancing service delivery across diverse sectors.
Peter’s expertise extends to leading large managed service projects and delivery teams, guiding significant periods of transformation and growth. His extensive background and strategic vision make him a valuable asset to the board, driving the company’s mission to innovate and secure the digital landscape.
Nick Ashton
Sales Director
Nick has overseen three periods of transformation and growth. At Virgin Media Business, in a two year period he was part of the senior leadership team which drove SMB revenue from £10M-£50M and a division of more than 100 people. At NCC Group, he established a go to market strategy which transformed parts of the UK division increasing revenues from £10M to £50M. He also started and grew the Large Acquisitions function, which was predominantly focused on Managed Security service, seeing that increase from £4M to £25M in just over a year.
His experience in establishing SME practices at Virgin Media Business and NCC Group has been instrumental in the impact Amicis Group has made in this space to date, making cyber relatable and impactful for organisations of all sizes and maturities.
Peter Wood
Delivery Director
In 2008, he left government service joining David Hallam’s SDLC Solutions where he undertook a number of consultancy roles, including management of the largest data migration programme ever undertaken by the UK Ministry of Defence, earning a Ministerial Commendation for his part in helping the department save £50m in legacy system costs.
Following the acquisition of SDLC by NCC Group in 2010, Peter moved into operational and commercial management, moving up to Director in 2013, where, among other responsibilities he lead the operational and commercial management of the Web Performance Division. This unit specialised in helping customers realise the benefits of their online presence, by providing actionable insight from their website and mobile applications to help optimise these capabilities and drive increased revenues.
